Sausage Stuffed Jalapenos

If you don't want this to be spicy at all, make sure you remove every last seed and all of the white membrane. If you accidentally leave a few, it will still only be mildly spicy. Make sure you wear gloves to handle the peppers, especially if you wear contacts. Show more

Yields: 28 peppers

Ingredients

  • 14  jalapeno peppers
  • 2  ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 7  slices bacon, cut in half
  • 14  lil smokey sausages
  • 28  toothpicks

Directions

  1. Cut each jalepeno in half, lengthwise. Remove all seeds and white membranes.
  2. Place a small amount of cream cheese inside each pepper, and top with a little smokey sausage.
  3. Wrap a piece of bacon around the pepper and sausage. Secure with toothpick.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until bacon is browned nicely. Serve warm.
