Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients
- 7 slices white bread, crusts removed
- softened butter
- 1 lb sausage, browned and crumbled
- 6 eggs
- 1 pint half-and-half cream
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 1⁄2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Directions
- Spread butter on each sice of bred and place face up, in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- Spoon cooked, drained sausage over bread and sprinkle with cheese.
- Combine eggs, half&half and spices.
- Pour over cheese; cover and chill over night.
- In the morning, remove fromrefrigerator 15 minutes prior to baking.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes, or until set.
