Sauerkraut With Pork and Apples

  1. Cook bacon in skillet until crisp.
  2. Remove from drippings and set aside.
  3. Saute the onions in the bacon drippings until lightly browned.
  4. Stir the sauerkraut into the drippings and onion, and add the apples.
  5. Pour in the wine and stock and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Crumble the bacon and add the kraut with the sugar and celery seed.
  7. Bake for another half hour and serve.
