Sangria Francais

Ingredients
- 1 (750 ml) bottle bordeaux wine
- 1⁄3 cup simple syrup (1part sugar, 1part water)
- 1⁄4 cup cognac
- 1⁄4 cup creme de cassis
- 1⁄4 cup pomegranate juice
- 12 hulled strawberries
- 7-up, soda if desired
Directions
- Add all the ingredients except the 7-Up in a large glass or ceramic container; stir well.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Serve over ice; top with 7-Up, if desired and garnish with additional strawberries.
