Sam's Pick Me up Trifle

I invented this recipe when my best friend Sam was going through a hard time. Two of her favorite things are chocolate covered cherries and Angel food cake so I found a way to combine them

• Serves: 6-8
• Yields: 1 dish

Ingredients

• 1 (2 ounce) packet  sugar free instant devils' food pudding
• 1 1⁄2 cups  cold milk
• 1 (8 ounce) container  whipped topping
• 1 (8 ounce) can cherry pie filling
• 1 (8 ounce) container  berry flavored cream cheese spread
• 1  angel food cake
• 1⁄2 cup  dark chocolate chips
• 1⁄2 cup dried cherries
• 4  teaspoons  rum extract

Directions

1. Make pudding according to package directions.
2. Soak angel food cubes in rum extract.
3. Mix the whipped topping with cream cheese.
4. in a large trifle bowl place a layer of cake cubes.
5. On top of that a layer of pie filling.
6. then a layer of pudding.
7. Keep adding until full.
8. place chips and dried cherries over top.
