Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄3 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup cooking wine
- 1 1⁄2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon chopped bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 6 ounces fettuccine, cooked
Directions
- Sauté the mushrooms and onions in the butter until tender.
- Add the salt, pepper, and wine; simmer over low heat until the mixture is reduced by half, about 5 minute
- Stir in the cream, bay leaf, celery seed, and thyme.
- Bring to a low boil.
- Pour over pasta.
- Decorate the top of each dish with fresh sliced mushrooms.
