Rose Geranium Syrup

A lovely geranium syrup for drinks or over ice cream.

Ready In: 20 mins

Yields: 2 1/2 cups

Ingredients

  • 2 12 cups water
  • 2  cups sugar
  • 12 cup  rose-scented geranium leaves

Directions

  1. Place water and sugar in a deep saucepan; stir until dissolved.
  2. Boil 5 minutes without stirring.
  3. Remove from heat, add rose geranium leaves, cover, and steep 10 minutes.
  4. Strain syrup into a clean pan and boil for 30 seconds.
  5. Remove From heat.
  6. Add a few drops of red coloring and pour into sterilized jars.
