Root Beer Cake

Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2⁄3 cup a&w root beer
Frosting
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 1 cup chilled root beer
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl.
- Blend at low speed; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
- Pour into a greased and floured 12X8 inch pan.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes.
- Frosting: Combine in mixer bowl and blend well.
- Beat until thick and fluffy.
