Rice Italiano
Ready In: 45 mins
Serves: 4-6
Yields: 4 4 cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups uncooked quick-cooking rice
- 28 ounces your favorite pasta sauce (Prego with mushrooms is my favorite for this)
- 2 -3 dashes parmesan cheese
Full Meal
- 1 lb ground beef, browned and crumbled
- 1 large onion, sauteed, Add to the above and mix well. You might also like to add some sliced black olives
Directions
- Cook rice according to package directions. When rice is done mix in the Pasta Sauce and stir to completely coat all the rice.
- Place rice mixture in an 8x8 sprayed baking pan.
- Shake some Parmesan cheese over the top of the mixture. More or less to taste.
- (I like to shake on a little Italian seasoning on top of the Parmesan but this is not necessary).
- Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese just starts to brown on the top. (Be careful not to burn the cheese it ruins the taste of the whole dish.).
- Serve hot as a dish dish.
