Rice Cake

I found this recipe in a cookbook I bought at a garage sale. “Good Things in England” by Florence White was published in 1933. The recipes are from 1399 to 1932. Posted for the Zaar World Tour 2005. Time to make and serving amounts are estimated. Show more

Yields: 1 cake

Ingredients

  • 1  cup  rice flour
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 5  large eggs, beaten

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (this is an estimate, so watch your cake carefully!).
  2. Sift the flour and sugar together.
  3. Using an electric beater, beat the eggs into the flour and sugar for 10 minute.
  4. Pour into a greased and floured cake pan and bake for about 30 minutes.
