Rhubarb Steak Sauce

Serve with steak or beef. From our local paper KV Style.

• Yields: 10 cups

Ingredients

• 8  cups  chopped rhubarb
• 3  cups  diced onions
• 2  cups white vinegar
• 2 1⁄2 cups brown sugar
• 1  teaspoon cinnamon
• 1  teaspoon allspice
• 3  garlic cloves, minced
• 1  teaspoon salt
• 1  teaspoon fresh ground pepper

Directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil.
3. Reduce to low heat and let simmer until well thickened.
4. Let cool and refrigerate.
