Rhubarb Sauce

Yields: 1 batch of sauce
Ingredients
- 4 cups rhubarb, sliced
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄3 cup water
- 3 cups strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1⁄2 vanilla bean
Directions
- Put the rhubarb in a saucepan, and add the vanilla bean, sugar and water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat and let it simmer for about five minutes.
- Add the strawberries and cook just until they soften and break down a bit.
