Refried Beans

Yields: 5 Cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups washed pinto beans
- 8 cups water
- 1⁄3 cup dried minced onion
- 1⁄4 cup bacon grease
- 1 large chicken bouillon cube (2 regular size)
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt, to taste
Directions
- Put beans, onion bacon grease and bouillon in crock pot. Add water.
- Cook about 10 hours stirring occasionally - till beans are soft and mushy. If needed add water.
- Mash beans with a potato masher and add milk and salt to taste.
