Reduced Fat Cupcakes

Ingredients
- 0.5 (18 1/4ounce) package vanilla cake mix or 0.5 (18 1/4ounce) package chocolate cake mix
- 1⁄2 cup water, plus 2 t water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons applesauce
- 2 egg whites
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350ËšF.
- Line muffin tins with liners.
- In a medium mixing bowl blend cake mix, water, butter, eggs.
- beat with a hand mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour into lined muffin tin no more than 2/3 full.
- bake for 19 to 23 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Note: Some recipes may use more or less water. Check the cake mix box, see how much water it needs, then half that.
