Redneck Chili Dog Sauce

My Dad is from West Virginia and he loves Chili dogs topped with lots of sweet onion and cheese. This is a recipe I made for him with all of his favorite tastes and he loves it along with all of the rest of the members of my family.

Ingredients

• 2  lbs ground beef
• 2  tablespoons cornstarch
• 3  cups water
• 1  cup ketchup
• 1⁄4 cup white vinegar
• 1⁄4 cup prepared yellow mustard
• 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 cup chili powder

Directions

1. Crumble ground beef into a Dutch oven over medium heat.
2. Stir cornstartch in water and add smash ground beef thoroughly with a potato masher or fork.
3. Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
4. Reduce heat and simmer for 60 minuntes or until the sauce is thick.
5. Serve over hotdogs in buns and top with your favorite toppings such as diced onion, shredded cheese, etc.
