Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups oil
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 ounce red food coloring
- 4 1⁄2 cups cake flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Cream oil, sugar, and eggs.
- Add cocoa and food coloring.
- Add sifted flour and salt mixture alternating with buttermilk.
- Add vinegar.
- Stir soda and vanilla into batter.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
