Red Sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, diced large
- 1 yellow onion, diced large
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon mixed Italian herbs
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
Directions
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic; saute until the bell pepper softens, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian herbs. Reduce heat to medium-low and allow to simmer for 30 minutes. Season to taste with the salt and pepper.
- Serve over hot pasta of your choice.
