Red Cabbage Sauerkraut

Ingredients
- 1 head red cabbage, sliced for kraut
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1⁄2 cup red wine vinegar
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped and crushed
- 1⁄4 cup water
- 1⁄2 cup honey
- 1⁄4 cup cider vinegar
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Put oil in skillet. Add cabbage, red wine vinegar, sugar, mustard seeds, salt and pepper, garlic and water and allow to simmer until cabbage wilts.
- Add honey and cider vinegar. Cook until syrupy.
- Serve over brats.
