Red Cabbage and Apples - Crock Pot

Ingredients
- 1 small red cabbage, cored and thinly sliced
- 3 medium apples, cored and grated
- 1⁄2 cup red wine vinegar
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 dash red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup cooked crumbled bacon (optional)
Directions
- Combine cabbage, apples, red wine vinegar, sugar, cloves and pepper flakes if using, in slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on High 6 hours.
- stirring after 3 hours.
- Sprinkle with bacon, if desired.
