Raspberry Iced Tea

Refreshing! Getting ready for summer.

Ready In: 8 hrs

Yields: 20 cups

Ingredients

  • 4  cups water
  • 14 inch gingerroot
  • 3  tea bags
  • 12  ounces  frozen  raspberry drink concentrate, thawed
  • 10  cups  carbonated lemon-lime beverage, chilled (two 2 liters)

Directions

  1. In a 1 quart glass jar, combine water, gingeroot and tea bags.
  2. Place in a sunny place for 3 hours or until tea is to your liking.
  3. Remove the tea bags and gingeroot.
  4. In a 2 quart plastic container (don't use metal), combine tea, concentrate and 2 cups lemon-lime soda.
  5. Cover container and freeze for 8 hours or until icy.
  6. Stir mixture at least two times during freezing process.
  7. To serve, spoon 1/2 cup frozen tea mixture into each glass.
  8. Add 1/2 cup chilled lemon-lime soda to glass and gently stir.
