Ramen Slaw Salad

I got this from Belinda Eldrinhoff in 2002. Hers is different than the others I noticed on this site. The butter makes it outrageous! I cut her oil in the dressing by 1/4 cup. Show more

Yields: 30 Oz

Ingredients

  • 8  ounces  Dole classic coleslaw (I usually make from scratch instead)
  • 3  ounces  ramen noodles (Japanese chuka soba)
  • 4  ounces butter
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup vinegar (apple cider)
  • 12 cup  oil
  • 1  tablespoon soy sauce
  • 12 cup  nuts (cashews or slivered almonds)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Crumble noodles and add butter and seasoning from ramen noodle packs and bake 10 minutes.
  3. Mix sugar, vinegar, oil and soy as dressing.
  4. Cool noodles.
  5. Just before serving mix slaw, noodles and nuts.
  6. Dress and serve.
