Raisin Roll-ups

This little gem I stumbled on quite by accident as my penchant for a good sticky Chelsea bun had rather overwhelmed me. This is so easy to make and so delicious that it should be a definite for a busy person's baking repertoire. Show more

Yields: 16 roll ups

Ingredients

  • 1 (8 count) can  pillsbury  flakey biscuits
  • 12-34 cup sugar
  • 1 -1 12 cup raisins
  • 12 cup butter, melted
  •  cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Roll out biscuits individually to an elongated round.
  3. Brush each with melted butter.
  4. Sprinkle 1- 2 tablespoons sugar onto each biscuit.
  5. Sprinkle over cinnamon to taste.
  6. Sprinkle over 1- 2 tablespoons raisins onto each biscuit.
  7. Drizzle 1 tsp melted butter onto each biscuit.
  8. Roll biscuits up and then cut through the centre in equal halves.
  9. Place 4 rolls per row into a well greased baking pan (smooth-cut edge facing up.) There should be a little space between each as they do spread when baking.
  10. Bake for 25 mins.
  11. Remove from pan immediately.
  12. Can be served with chilled evaporated milk as a dessert.
