Raisin Bread

Ingredients
- 2 cups raisins
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup boiling water
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Mix the raisins, baking soda, and the boiling water.
- Cover, and let stand until cooled, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Lightly grease two 4x8 inch loaf pans.
- In a medium bowl, mix the raisin mixture with the oil, flour, sugars, and salt, and mix well.
- Pour mixture evenly into the 2 prepared pans, and bake until browned, approximately 1 hour.
