Raisin and Almond Tea Loaf

Yields: 2 loaf tins
Ingredients
- 12 ounces margarine
- 12 ounces caster sugar
- 6 medium eggs (beaten)
- 1 teaspoon almond essence
- 6 ounces ground almonds
- 8 ounces raisins
- 12 ounces self raising flour
- 6 tablespoons milk
Directions
- Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add eggs a bit at a time.
- Add almond essence
- Lightly FOLD in the rest so as not to loose all that air you have beaten inches
- Put into two 2 lb loaf tins (GREASED AND LINED).
- Cook in a preheated oven 160 c /325f (middle shelf) for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.
