" She Crab" Cream of Crab Soup

I got this recipe from my grandmother, who was one of my main inspirations for cooking, I think it's hard to find a good cream of crab soup that is fairly simple to make. Anyone from Maryland will appreciate this recipe. Show more

Serves: 4-6

Ingredients

  • 2 (10 3/4ounce) cans  cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 (10 3/4ounce) cans  cream of celery soup
  • 2  cups half-and-half
  • 1  cup milk
  • 1  cup sherry wine
  • 1  lb  crabmeat (better with lump,cheaper with claw)
  • 14 teaspoon  red pepper
  • 1  teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon pepper
  • 1  teaspoon  Old Bay Seasoning

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in double boiler (so the cream doesn't burn to the bottom).
  2. Simmer until heated through.
  3. Enjoy.
