  1. Cut steak into thin strips, about 1 inch wide. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat large skillet to medium-high. Add olive oil. Add meat and onion, cooking until meat is browned. Remove meat and onion from skillet.
  3. Melt remaining butter over low heat. Add flour, stirring until smooth. Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Dissolve bouillon cubes in 2 cups hot water; gradually add to skillet mixture and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
  5. Alternately add sour crem and tomato paste, stirring constantly. Simmer gently, without boiling, for 1 minute.
  6. Add meat and onion to sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
