Quick & Easy Waffles

Came with our "Beaumark" Waffle maker; quick and easy, never fails us.

Serves: 4

Yields: 10 waffles

Ingredients

  • 2  cups flour
  • 2  teaspoons baking powder
  • 3  tablespoons sugar (or less to taste)
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 14 cups milk
  • 2  eggs (separated)
  • 13 cup  vegetable oil (or melted butter)

Directions

  1. Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, salt, oil, milk, and egg yolks.
  2. Beat the egg whites until they stand in soft peaks.
  3. Fold egg whites into the batter; do not over mix.
  4. Bake in pre-heated waffle maker for 3-5 minutes (we bake for 4 minutes if we're eating them right away, 2.5-3 minutes to save and freeze them -- then pop them into the toaster for a quick breakfast or snack; the toaster gives them just the right added amount of cooking).
