Quick and Easy Crispy Deli Style Coleslaw

A Version of a coleslaw made at a local deli that goes over well. Personally I'm not a coleslaw fan but this isn't bad, it uses quick mixes and just adds a few extra bits to make it your own :) Show more

Serves: 10

Ingredients

  • 2 (14 ounce) bags  coleslaw mix (or equivalent of cabbage and carrots if you prefer)
  • 1 (16 ounce) bottle  coleslaw dressing
  • 12 cup  finely chopped onion
  • 3  tablespoons white vinegar or 3  tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2  tablespoons sugar
  • 1  teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1  dash pepper

Directions

  1. Mix onions with the coleslaw mix.
  2. Mix the dressing with the remaining ingredients until smooth then add to the coleslaw. The amount of coleslaw mix is to your taste, you want it fairly well saturated as it tends to absorb.
  3. Cover and refrigerate until needed, should be used within a few days.
  4. If you want to get creative you can add sunflower seeds, extra veggies or anything else that suits you. feel free to change amounts of any of the ingredients to suit your taste.
