Puppy Puffies

These are great for teething puppies. I wash and re-use the pudding cups and applesauce cups from the kids lunches. **UPDATE: My youngest puppy seems to be allergic to wheat or corn. We haven't figured out which one. As a precaution, I now omit cream of wheat, wheat germ and whole wheat flour for her. I just use all-purpose flour (3 tbsp) and up the powdered milk a bit more (2 tbsp). She still likes them and they don't make her itch. Show more

Directions

  1. Add all the dry ingredients to a medium sized bowl. Mix well.
  2. Then add all the wet ingredients. Mix well.
  3. Split the mixture into four or five pudding cups or applesauce cups. Only fill about 2/3 full as they do puff up.
  4. Add in any toppings. Push the toppings into the batter slightly.
  5. Place on a small plate.
  6. Put in microwave and cook on high for one or two minutes.
  7. Let cool.
  8. Serve to your pooch, cup and all. They will have fun chewing the goodies out.
  9. I let them have the cups for a few days and then throw them out and start all over.
  10. Can be used in the same style as a Kong.
  11. I give them to my dogs when I have company over. Helps prevent the muddy foot handshake!
