Ingredients
- 3 eggs
- 3⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1⁄8 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3⁄4 teaspoon allspice
- 3⁄4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup scalded milk
- 1 1⁄3 cups pumpkin puree
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
Directions
- Measure all dry ingredients into a double broiler over boiling water.
- Whisk in eggs until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a metal spoon.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the scalded milk, pumpkin puree and vanilla.
- Cool to warm and follow your ice cream makers instructions or place in plastic container and freeze, stirring every few hours.
