Pumpkin Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 cup canned pumpkin
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
Frosting
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
- Combine. Mix well and drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes.
- Frosting: Boil first three ingredients together for 2 minutes.
- Cool and add powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Ice cool cookies.
