Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies

A friend of mine made these for me and I loved them! Now I give them out and they always get a rave review! These cookies are super easy to make, and this recipe makes ALOT of cookies so you have plenty for your neighbors :)

• Yields: 36 cookies

Ingredients

• 1  cup shortening
• 3  cups sugar
• 3  eggs
• 2  cups pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
• 1  cup  nuts (optional)
• 1 (12 ounce) package  milk chocolate chips (I use half this amount)
• 4 1⁄2 cups flour
• 2  teaspoons baking powder
• 2  teaspoons salt
• 2  teaspoons baking soda
• 2  teaspoons vanilla
• 2  teaspoons cinnamon
• 2  teaspoons nutmeg

Directions

1. Mix all ingredients together and bake at 375 degrees for 13-14 minutes.
