Prune Cake

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cooking oil
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
- 1 cup prune, chopped
Glaze
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
- 1⁄2 cup butter
Directions
- Mix together first 6 ingredients.
- Set aside.
- Mix sugar, oil, buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.
- Stir dry mixture into the wet mixture.
- Fold in nuts and prunes.
- Grease a tube pan and line with parchment paper.
- Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
- Cool for 15 minutes and remove from pan.
- Mix glaze ingredients together and cook over medium heat.
- Stir constantly until glaze turns a caramel color.
- Pour over cake.
