Found this recipe in a high school reference book about various world countries. This apparently is a popular cookie made in Romania. I just made these for the first time and they were pretty sticky. I would recommend refrigerating the dough before baking. The original recipe said to knead the dough, but it's too gooey for that. Something must have gotten lost in translation! :) Show more

  1. Cream the sugar with the eggs and butter.
  2. Add walnuts, rum flavoring and flour.
  3. Mix well then drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheets,leaving plenty of space in between.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown (about 10 minutes).
