Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 1⁄4 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
- 1⁄2 cup sweet milk
- 1⁄4 tablespoon mace
- 1⁄2 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon cream of tartar
Directions
- Cream sugar and butter.
- Add beaten egg yolks and beat again.
- Mix and sift flour, salt, and baking soda.
- Alternate creamed mixture, sweet milk, and beaten egg whites.
- Bake in greased and floured pan at 325 degrees for 45-50 minutes.
