Potatoes and Green Beans

While you can dehydrate all the vegetables for this side dish before you set off, then rehydrate for 30 to 40 minutes, fresh ingredients are recommend. Either way, it is a simple and nourishing vegetable combination. I found this in The Trailside Cookbook. Show more

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 3  medium potatoes, boiled and sliced (125 ml)
  • 12 cup  cooked green beans (125 ml, or 8oz fresh green beans (250 g)
  • 1  onion, sliced
  • 4  ounces  instant  onion soup mix (110 g)

Directions

  1. Place vegetables in the center of a piece of foil and sprinkle over the onion soup mix.
  2. Fold the foil into a sealed parcel and place close to the fire or stove until all the ingredients are heated and cooked through.
