Potato Bake

Potatoes au gratin :D great for a BBQ or on a cold night...ultimate comfort food

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 1  kg potato
  • 600  ml  thickened cream
  • 250  g bacon, diced
  • 200  g mushrooms, sliced
  • 500  g  tasty cheese, shredded
  •  salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180deg celcuis and grease a large metal baking dish.
  2. slice potatoes into thin slices, arrange some on the bottom of a large baking dish.
  3. add some diced bacon and mushrooms along with a sprinkle of salt and pepper and repeat till dish is full with a potato layer on top.
  4. pour cream over top of potatoes and sprinkle with cheese.
  5. Bake for 45min to 1 hour, test with a fork to make sure potatoes are cooked. If top becomes too brown whilst cooking cover with foil.
