Port Wine Reduction

Yields: 1/2 cup
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup chopped onion
- 1⁄2 cup chopped carrot
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 cups port wine
Directions
- Combine all of the ingredients into a medium sized saucepan and over medium heat, bring to a boil.
- Continue to boil until the mixture thickens and reduces to about 1/2 cup, about 30 minutes.
- Strain through a fine mesh strainer and let cool.
- Use at room temperature.
