Poached Pears.....from the Wine Country Inn

Ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 8 pears
- apple juice
- 1⁄4 cup grenadine
- 1 dash cinnamon
Directions
- Combine the lemon juice and water.
- Quarter, core and peel the pears, dipping them in lemon juice mixture as you go, to prevent browning.
- Place them in a crockpot and cover with apple juice.
- Add the grenadine and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Cook on the low setting for about 1 1/2 hours, or until tender.
