Plum Sauce for Lamb

This sauce can also be used to base the lamb while roasting. (Posted in reply to a request)

Yields: 1 1/2 cups, approx.

Directions

  1. Pit and sieve plums.
  2. In small sauce pan, combine all ingredients and mix well.
  3. At this point, sauce may be used to baste a lamb roast, (baste roast 4 times during the last hour of cooking).
  4. Simmer remaining sauce for 5 minutes, stir occasionally.
  5. Serve sauce with lamb.
