Pink Margarita Slushes a La Martha Stewart

These frothy margarita slushes get their pink tint from watermelon chunks! You can easily make this a virgin cocktail; just sub orange juice for the alcohol. Adapted from Martha Stewart's "Healthy and Quick" Cookbook. Show more

Yields: 4 Pink Margarita Slushes

Ingredients

  • 4  cups  cubed ripe seedless watermelon (about 1/4 medium)
  • 3  tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 23 cup  good quality  white tequila
  • 1 12 ounces  orange-flavored liqueur (such as Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
  • 4  tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
  •  ice
  •  watermelon wedges, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine all ingredients , fill with ice, and process until smooth.
  2. Pour into 4 tall glasses and garnish with a watermelon wedge (if desired).
