Pineapple Cherry Sauce

We like to bbq and use this as a tasty, quick baste.

  1. Drain juice from pineapple, add enough maraschino juice to make 3/4 Cup of liquid Add lemon juice, blend in cornstarch to liquids.
  2. In a medium saucepan add the liquid and stir in the spices.
  3. Cook over medium heat, stir until thickened, add any options at this point.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in the tidbits and cherries.
  5. Baste over ham slices, grilled chicken or veggies.
  6. Refrigerate any unused mixture.
