Piglet's Haycorn-Popcorn Balls

I got this recipe from my 2nd grade teacher who used to read us Winnie the Pooh. This would be easy for 2nd grade and up to make.

• Ready In: 30 mins
• Yields: 24 balls

Ingredients

• 1  cup sugar
• 1⁄3 cup honey
• 1  cup water
• 1⁄4 cup butter (1/2 stick)
• 5  quarts  pre  popped popcorn

Directions

1. Mix sugar, honey, water, butter and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil - DO NOT STIR. Boil the mixture about 10 minutes until a drop of it forms into a ball in a cup of cold water.
2. Coat the bowl of popcorn with the syrup mixture and add popcorn until well mixed.
3. Form into balls, sticky but scrumptious.
