Pesto Alla Genovese

Yields: 1 1/2 cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups packed fresh basil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1⁄2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 cup olive oil
Directions
- In a food processor, combine basil, garlic, cheese, salt and pepper.
- Process until a coarse paste forms. With machine on, slowly add oil.
- Use immediately or stir in the refrigerator up to 4 days. Or freeze.
