Peppery Popcorn

Three different peppers give some ZING to ordinary popcorn. This is addictive, so you might want to double the recipe! Originally from an August 1989 Bon Appetit That featured "Fast and Easy Outdoor Parties".

• Yields: 4 quarts

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
• 1⁄8 teaspoon ground black pepper
• 1⁄8 teaspoon white pepper
• 1⁄8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 4  quarts  unseasoned  popped popcorn (about 3/4 cup unpopped)
• 3  tablespoons  melted butter

Directions

1. Combine first 5 ingredients in small bowl.
2. Place popcorn in large bowl; drizzle butter over popcorn, tossing until evenly coated.
3. Sprinkle 1/3 of seasoning over popcorn and combine well.
4. Repeat 2 more times until popcorn is well coated.
5. (Can be prepared 1 hour ahead. Store at room temperature.).
