Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 1⁄2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup (Karo)
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 3 3⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 tablespoon anise flavoring
Directions
- Mix and store in refrigerator overnight.
- Make into 3/8 inch rope and cut into small slices about the width of a pencil.
- Bake at 375 degrees for about 7 minutes.
