Pecan Pie Soda

Ingredients
- 2 1⁄2 cups water
- 1⁄2 cup toasted pecans
- 1⁄2 cup maple syrup
- 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- 2 liters soda water
Directions
- Mix everything but soda water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
- simmer about 40 minutes until reduced to 3/4 cup syrup.
- strain and let cool.
- stir 2 tablespoons syrup into 1 glass of soda water.
