Pecan Pie

This recipe is an old family favorite.It was given to us by Meg Hurt, who got it from her mother, Zelma Gordon, who got it from her mother, Mildred Haney, who got it from??? Excellent pie.

• Yields: 1 9 inch pie

Ingredients

• 3  eggs, slightly beaten
• 1  cup brown sugar, packed
• 1  cup  light Karo syrup
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons flour
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1  tablespoon butter, melted
• 1 -2  cup pecans

Directions

1. In a large bowl, mix ingredients in order given.Pour into unbaked 9 inch pie shell and bake 1 hour at 300°F May take a little longer. Test for doneness with a knife. It's done when knife comes out clean.
