Peanut Butter Cookies

I like this one. it has a ture peanut flavor.

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1⁄2 cup white sugar
• 1⁄2 cup shortening
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1  cup peanut butter
• 1  egg
• 1 1⁄2 cups  sifted all-purpose flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugar thoroughly.Add vanilla and peanut butter.Add egg and beat well.
2. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
3. Roll into balls.Place on greased cookie sheets.And press down with floured fork tines.
4. Bake in moderate oven (350 Deg. F).
5. For 12 to 15 Minutes.
6. To vary this recipe sprinkle tops with chocolate peices.Press lightly.
