Peanut Brittle

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 cup light Karo syrup
- 2 cups raw peanuts
- 1⁄2 cup cold water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
Directions
- In iron frying pan, mix the sugar,syrup, water and salt.
- Bring this to a boil.
- Add the peanuts and cook over med-high heat stirring constantly approx.
- 15 minutes.
- Do NOT Scorch.
- Peanuts will crack.
- when mixture turns golden, remove from heat and add baking soda.
- Pour onto a greased cookie sheet and cool.
- Break into pieces when cool.
